XV(15) Lines

I(1) The tree is a faithful companion of mankind.

II(2) The tree creates a link from sun to earth.

III(3) The tree creates oxygen.

IV(4) Trees are essential for human beings.

V(5) Trees are organisms which - long before the invention of speech, let alone the first utterance of the words 'solar energy' - had already solved the problem, inclusive of storing technique.

VI(6) Trees just act without many words.

VII(7) If mankind had no trees, it would not have discovered fire, thus would not have invented the steam engine and would not have been able to use machines for the generation of current, thus would not have built computers. There would be no Internet.

VIII(8) The first wheels to turn were tree logs!

IX(9) But it must also be said that the tree is partly to blame for mankind's misery.

X(10) I only say two words: 'snake' and 'apple'.

X(11) The tree is, in a way, a key technology of mankind.

XII(12) And, in my opinion, the three greatest achievements of mankind so far are:

ich habe noch mehr englische �bersetzungen, aber diese hat die Erste Internationale Baum-olympiade
gewonnen.
Die �bersetzung der W�rter: 'Spalten, Zeilen' musste ich erst telefonisch erfragen da ich ausser
Deutsch keine andere Sprache behersche.

trees had solved this problem and also the technology of energy storage.

XI(6)Trees simply deal with it, without making pompous speeches.

XII(7)If man had had (had had ist absichtlich geschrieben) no trees he would never
have discovered fire, and would therefore
not have invented the steamengine. No machines would then be able to
exploit the production of electricity and thus no computers would have been
built. Consequently there would also be no internet!

VIII(8)The first wheels to turn were tree trunks.

lieber wolfgang, weil englisch meine muttersprache ist und deutsch eine
fremde sprache, waere es einfacher von deutsch zu englisch zu uebersetzen.
ich glaube dass meine ubersetzung klingt besser als frueher und ist auch
naeher zu den deutsch. hoeffentlich das hilft dir.
zu Zeile 3: man kann sagen "the tree produces oxygen for us " aber das ist nicht in
seiner urspruenglichen forme gesagt
